No matter what season it is, it’s always a great time to get outside and get active as long as the weather cooperates. Hiking is a great way to enjoy nature while reaping some fantastic health benefits in the process. When you add chiropractic care into the mix, you could find your healthiest you yet!
As a chiropractor I probably hear a disproportionate amount of people who are dissatisfied with their past medical experience. (I’d say it is still most common that folks have explored medical options before they come to our office) Some of that is related to unreasonable expectations no doubt. We’ve been taught our medical system is the best in the world (and it is in so many ways) and that it is constantly advancing. We have learned terms like “the miracle of modern medicine.” That is quite a standard to live up to and we expect it.
With that I was interested when I saw this article. It is a helpful check on our expectations. Particularly when we have procedures that are so clearly traumatic to our bodies (though often needed) like surgery, chemotherapy, or powerful antibiotics. Reasonable expectations may help.
It’s no secret that we’re a little biased when it comes to chiropractic care. We believe in it, we’ve seen how great it works, and our many happy patients are a great testimony to how well it works.
Still, there are some nay-sayers who believe that medical treatments are the only way to treat health care concerns and health conditions. While we do believe that medical treatments do indeed have their place, we also know for a fact that chiropractic offers far more benefits, provides faster results for many conditions including pain management, and provides farther reaching care that goes to the heart of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms.
